This artwork represents my love of combining various mediums, using bold mark-making techniques and creating simple forms and shapes. Surrender is a mixed media abstract artwork that is very close to my heart. It is a visual representation of my creative mind at work, a place where different ideas come together making a harmoniously stunning visual. Steering away from purely digital abstract paintings, I started this piece with some watercolour and ink experiments. When creating with inks and watercolours there is a great deal of spontaneity and it requires a sense of ‘surrender’ from the artist. So I let go, not worrying about the outcome, let my intuition guide me in realising this vibrant piece. There is something beautiful when we create from a place of surrender, we explore new possibilities.
